The quiet town of Wymondham will become on Tuesday, 14th April the stage for an unusual and exciting event: a tripod competition featuring three teams in a spirited battle of creativity. Hosted at Wymondham Bowls Club, 54b, Norwich Rd, Wymondham NR18 0NT, this three-way contest brought together competitors from Wymondham itself, Buxton, and Lowestoft Photographic Club. The event should test not only the technical abilities of the participants but also their strategic thinking and teamwork. We hope this competition shows the challenges faced by the contesting teams.

The Origins of the Tripod Competition

The competition was inspired by local interest in photography. A "three-way photography competition" is called a tripod because it is a play on words based on the 3-way pan/tilt tripod head. Organisers wanted to create an event that would bring together communities from nearby towns, fostering friendly rivalry and sharing of ideas. Wymondham, with its welcoming atmosphere and accessible location, was the perfect host.
