In 2021, Ian Bundey didn’t even own a camera. Just a few years later, he was FIA-accredited and photographing Grands Prix around the world for international media agencies. That’s a remarkable leap by any measure, and it’s exactly the story he’ll be sharing at Lowestoft Photographic Club on Wednesday 23 September 2026 at 7.30 pm.

A new club season always feels a bit sharper when the first competition lands, and Lowestoft Photographic Club is starting 2026 with a theme that can reward patience, imagination, and a good eye for light.

Some photographs deserve more than a quick glance on a phone screen. They need a room, a cup of tea nearby, and a few friendly people asking, “How did you get that light?” or “Was the gull really that close?”

A fresh club season deserves a strong first night, and Lowestoft Photographic Club has picked a cracking way to start. The club opens its 2026 to 2027 season on Wednesday 2nd September 2026 at 7.30 pm with a visit from Kevin Sawford, who will present 20 nature photography projects throughout the year. It’s a great fit for the first evening back, especially for photographers who like the idea of having something practical to shoot in every season, not just when the weather

The Lowestoft Photographic Club will gather on Friday, 31st July, for its much-anticipated Annual Dinner and Awards Evening. This event is more than just a social occasion; it marks a celebration of the past year’s creative achievements and sets the tone for the exciting season ahead.

The Lowestoft Photographic Club invites all members to join the Annual General Meeting on Wednesday, 26th May 2026, starting at 7.30 pm. This event marks the final gathering of the year, offering a chance to look back on the club’s activities, achievements, and shared passion for photography. It’s a moment to celebrate creativity, review competitions, workshops, and speakers, and plan for the future.
